Urbandale housing subject of public meeting

114 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and Law, Real Estate and DevelopmentThe city of Urbandale will launch the process of plotting its housing future during a public meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Giovannetti Community Shelter at Walker Johnston Park, 8900 Douglas Ave. The session was triggered by a technical assistance grant that was awarded to the Polk County Housing Trust Fund by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to determine a community’s desire to preserve and develop affordable housing as it promotes job growth. City staff and local leaders will have separate meetings with housing and planning consultants.
