Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines will open a new facility for occupational health services on Dec. 1 at 1055 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines. Mercy Occupational Health will provide comprehensive services for businesses to maximize employee health and safety and to reduce lost work time, absenteeism and workers’ compensation costs. Some services provided include pre-employment, post-offer and Department of Transportation physicals, drug screening, audiometry and respirator fit testing, functional capacity evaluations, comprehensive work injury care and on-site X-rays. An open house is scheduled for Dec. 3 from 3 to 7 p.m.
