About: While 2016 marks the first woman nominated by a major political party for U.S. presidency, there is more to be done toward gender equity in Iowa politics. Through this panel discussion, the League hopes to encourage women to consider public service. Panelists include Marti Anderson, District 36 state representative; Angela Connolly, Polk County supervisor; Chris Hensley, Des Moines city councilwoman; Ruth Randleman, Carlisle mayor; and Bridget Montgomery, Urbandale Planning and Zoning Commission member.
