Linn County launches $40 million conservation effort
Iowa Environmental Focus: Linn County is moving on a range of water quality and conservation projects after voters overwhelmingly approved a $40 million bond to be used for land and water conservation work. Approved by 74 percent of voters, the bond will be split among water quality and land protection, 55 percent; 30 percent for parks; and 15 percent for trail improvements. Included will be woodland and prairie restorations and improvements to outdoor recreation facilities.
