The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded nearly $4.6 million to public housing authorities in Iowa.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded nearly $4.6 million to public housing authorities in Iowa. The funding will allow agencies to make major large-scale improvements to their public housing units, according to a release. The Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency received $925,291, and the Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority received $157,420.
