YMCA raises $1.365 million for campaign
The YMCA of Greater Des Moines closed its 2012 YPartners fund-raising campaign by raising more than $1.365 million. The campaign, which ended on Tuesday, exceeded its goal of $1.32 million. Vernon Delpesce, the Y’s president and CEO, said in a release that the money raised will help more than 18,000 individuals with scholarships to various YMCA programs. YPartners is the organization’s annual support campaign to offer program and membership scholarships to individuals who otherwise would not be able to afford to participate.
