Iowa Business Council index up from last quarter
The Iowa Business Council’s Overall Economic Outlook Survey Index rose to 66.3 for the first quarter of 2012. The index was four points higher than in the fourth quarter of 2011, but lower than the 66.7 reading for the same time period a year ago. The sales outlook was 71, the capital spending outlook was 67 and the employment outlook was 61. All readings were higher than in the previous quarter; however, all but the capital spending outlook were lower than in the first quarter of 2011. Click here for more information.
