Patients responding to a U.S. government survey have ranked hospitals in Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska as tops in the nation, the Iowa Hospital Association said. The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) Survey, administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients’ perspectives on hospital care.
