Des Moines city staff will make two budget presentations Thursday at the Central Library, 1000 Grand Ave.

Des Moines city staff will make two budget presentations Thursday at the Central Library, 1000 Grand Ave. The presentations are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The city has been fielding suggestions on ways to correct a $7 million budget deficit. A proposed budget includes cutting some city services, eliminating jobs and raising property taxes.
