Economic Census to be taken in October
Beginning next month, more than 4 million businesses representing various industries and geographic areas will receive 2012 Economic Census forms. The Economic Census is the Census Bureau’s official five-year measure of American business and the economy and businesses are is required by law to respond. The census provides benchmark statistics that contribute to economic indicators, such as the gross domestic product, monthly retail sales and the Producer Price Index.
