Iowa ranks high in manufacturing, report says
The state of Iowa gets an “A” in manufacturing, according to the 2011 Manufacturing and Logistics Report Card, prepared by Ball State University’s Center for Business and Economic Research.
The study reviews and ranks states on several areas deemed to be important to site selection experts for manufacturing and logistics. Iowa received a “B” in logistics and in human capital, but received an “F” in tax climate.
Iowa, though, was one of only five states to receive the top grade in the manufacturing category. To see the full report and how the state compares with other states, click here.
