Meals from the Heartland will host its fifth annual charity golf tournament on June 19 at Beaver Creek Golf Club in Grimes. The event, open to individual players or groups of four, includes lunch and post-tournament appetizers and awards. There will be a shotgun start at 10 a.m. All proceeds from the scramble-format tournament will benefit the organization’s meal packaging programs, which provide meals to those in need.
