The U.S. Small Business Administration has released its monthly loan approval figures in Iowa for May 2025. The SBA backed 55 loans for $27,425,600 to Iowa businesses from participating lenders using its two largest lending programs.

The SBA 7(a) and 504 programs capitalized 28 new and 27 existing businesses that report creating 198 new jobs and retaining 270 jobs as a result.

The highest value loans were in Polk and Dallas counties.
