Sam’s Club in Ankeny will host two events this week to give select Greater Des Moines residents a chance to see the store before it officially opens to the public May 21. Today from noon to 2 p.m., the store will host a flag ceremony and picnic lunch for local military and first responders. Tomorrow from 4 to 6 p.m., the store will host an areawide Chamber and Business Open House. Local chamber members and small-business owners are invited to tour the store during this time.
