Affiliates Management Co. and its family of companies — including Coopera, the Iowa Credit Union League, PolicyWorks Iowa, PolicyWorks LLC and First Community Trust N.A. — recently donated $169,050 to the Iowa Credit Union Foundation, which is the philanthropic arm of ICUL. When combined with earlier contributions, including AMC’s support of ICUF’s Emergency Relief Fund, AMC’s 2020 contributions to ICUF total $284,700. Additionally, credit unions from across the state collectively donated more than $123,740 in year-end gifts to ICUF. This all translates into more than $408,400 raised in support of the foundation. Launched in 1995, ICUF works to empower people and communities to achieve financial well-being by championing the “people helping people” credit union philosophy. “These generous gifts from the AMC family of companies and from Iowa credit unions allow the Iowa Credit Union Foundation to do more to serve families and individuals in Iowa,” said Jaimie Miller, executive director of the Iowa Credit Union Foundation. Over the past 25 years, ICUF has awarded $2,105,400 to more than 1,000 Iowa credit union members through matched savings. In addition, $1,343,500 in emergency cash assistance has been granted to more than 2,600 Iowa credit union members to aid with disaster relief and recovery efforts.
