African American Museum of Iowa to hold reopening celebration
The African American Museum of Iowa in Cedar Rapids will hold a grand reopening event on May 11 to celebrate the completion of the renovation, which began in 2019. Renovations to the building include a new entrance and roof and an expanded lobby. The family-friendly event is open to the public and will include $1 admission to the museum, self-guided tours and food trucks.
