AFSCME Council 61 re-elects Homan
AFSCME Iowa Council 61 last week re-elected Danny Homan for a sixth term as president. Homan is one of Iowa’s most visible union leaders. He started his public employee career in June 1984 with the 3rd Judicial District Department of Correctional Services as a residential adviser at a residential treatment facility in Sioux City. He joined AFSCME Iowa Council 61 in December 1987 as a political organizer. In February 1988, Homan became a union representative in northwest Iowa.
