Ag Express Electronics, which provides custom electrical wire harnesses and agricultural electronics services, has completed an expansion and modernization of its facility at 6280 N.E. 14th St., just north of Des Moines. The now 28,000-square-foot facility serves as the company’s corporate headquarters and houses its manufacturing and repair center. A building permit valued at over $3.5 million was issued for the project in March 2022. “With the completion of our expanded Des Moines facility, Ag Express is ushering in a new era of innovation and service excellence, reinforcing our commitment to American manufacturing,” Craig Murphy, Ag Express Electronics’ president, said in a prepared statement. “We are proud to play a role in supporting agriculture, the backbone of our nation’s economy.” The Des Moines facility has 68 employees. The expansion allowed the company to add 15 new positions, with the ability to add 25 more jobs in the future. An open house is planned from 3-6 p.m. Dec. 7 at the facility.
