82 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawGov. Kim Reynolds has appointed Judge Paul Ahlers to the nine-member Iowa Court of Appeals. Ahlers, of Fort Dodge, is a district associate judge in Judicial Election District 2B. His experience includes stints with firms in Spencer, Fort Dodge and Webster City, and he also worked at Travelers Insurance Cos. in St. Paul, Minn. Ahlers has a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and a law degree from the University of Iowa. He will replace Amanda Potterfield of Tiffin, who is retiring.
