The Capital Square office space occupied by the Iowa chapter of the American Institute of Architects has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The remodeled space at 400 Locust St., which AIA Iowa has occupied since summer 2009, is the first LEED for Commercial Interiors project to achieve Platinum certification in the state of Iowa. RDG Planning and Design was the project architect.
