AIB College of Business yesterday hosted a ground-breaking ceremony on a $1.5 million expansion project at 2280 Bell Ave. in Des Moines. Mayor Frank Cownie, AIB President Nancy Williams, and Martha Willits, president and CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, spoke at the event. Set to coincide with AIB’s 90th anniversary celebration, the remodel will include new locker rooms, athletic offices and a training space in the Activities Center – a $5 million facility constructed in 1999. The expansion is slated to be completed in the fall.
