AMA Iowa is hosting two events that will celebrate the repeal of Prohibition on Dec. 5, 1933, by focusing on local spirits. The marketing group’s monthly luncheon will feature Ryan Burchett of Mississippi River Distilling Co. at 11:30 a.m. Dec.5 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Johnston. That evening, Burchett will serve the distillery’s two most recent releases during an AMA Iowa networking event from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Valley West Hideout, located in the Valley West Inn at 3535 Westown Parkway, Suite 100, in West Des Moines.
