The event, which aims to raise awareness and drive action on cardiovascular health while addressing food insecurity across Iowa, hopes to gather community leaders, health care advocates and supporters to promote equitable health solutions through policy, education, partnerships and research. The ball will feature dining, storytelling, dancing and an auction, with proceeds supporting initiatives to improve nutrition security and reduce the prevalence of heart disease and stroke. Alongside the ball, the Association has also announced it is partnering with local food pantries to implement heart-healthy food standards that reduce high-sodium and high-sugar offerings, with plans to expand statewide.
