Measure Inc., an Ames-based graphic design company, is the first business in Iowa to be certified as an LGBT Business Enterprise (LGBTE) through the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s (NGLCC) Supplier Diversity Initiative, Measure announced today. The certification allows the company to participate in the NGLCC’s corporate partners’ supplier diversity programs, access educational opportunities, and build business relationships with other LGBTEs and LGBT ally businesses nationally. In August, Measure President Chad Johnston will attend the NGLCC’s International Business and Leadership Conference in Tampa, Fla., to be inducted. The NGLCC initiative assists LGBT-owned businesses, which are not recognized as a diversity status for federal and most local government contracts.
