Business Insider: Niche, a company that compiles information on cities, has named Ames as the No. 3 college town in America. Two other Iowa cities made the list of the 30 best college towns: Decorah at No. 10 and Iowa City at No. 17. The top two towns were Cambridge, Mass., and Ann Arbor, Mich. NIche looked at such factors as cost of living, education, real estate market and nightlife. Just this week, Iowa State was named the best college value in the state by Time magazine’s Money.
