Amy Spike, communication and programming coordinator for the Iowa chapter of the American Institute of Architects, has been named the Distinguished Association Staff Professional of the Year by the Iowa Society of Association Executives. The award recognizes “extraordinary achievement and the promise of future accomplishment within the association management profession,” according to a release. Spike joined AIA Iowa in 2012. She is responsible for public relations, event planning and promotions, and administrating the AIA Iowa websites. In addition, she coordinates all continuing education programming.
