Anawim Housing and community partners are hosting the annual Rising Toward Community event on June 21. The event celebrates the strength and resilience of individuals and families who have overcome homelessness on their journey to stability. This year, the event highlights the connection between recovery and permanent supportive housing, partnering with the Full Circle Recovery Community Center. Stories from those with lived experiences will be shared. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Anawim Housing Office at 1750 48th St. in Des Moines from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more details, visit Anawim’s website.
