The Animal Rescue League of Iowa hopes to place 200 pets in adoption or fostering in the next five days as the organization faces a record number of homeless animals in its care. Right now, the ARL is providing care for 1,337 animals, a number that grows each day. In addition to offering services to help those considering surrendering their pets, the ARL is seeking foster homes or adoptive families for animals. Those interesting in fostering an animal for any length of time should contact foster@arl-iowa.org. For those interested in adopting a pet, the ARL has lowered adoption fees for both cats and dogs to $25, today through July 19. The organization also is seeking donated supplies.
