Ankeny plans new library as part of effort to meet future facility needs

Topping the list is a $13.5 million library and City Council chambers that would be located in the Prairie Trail development. Other elements of the plan are convertingKirkendall Public Library into an office building for the Public Services and Parks and Recreation departments and the remodeling of existing council chambers at City Hall into office space. The recommendations are from OPN Architects, which was hired to conduct a facility needs study.
