The United Way of Central Iowa is asking the community to donate children’s books for its annual Stuff the Bus book drive, scheduled for May 25. The United Way, in partnership with Athene USA and Shazam, will be collecting new and gently used children’s books at its Stuff the Bus Community Collection Event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Athene USA, 7700 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines. Nearly 24,000 books were collected last year.
