Another section of MLK Jr. Parkway opens next week
A major section of the Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway/Southeast Connector is set to open next week, KCCI reported. City officials will conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 20 at 2 p.m. for the now completed roadway from Southeast 15th Street to Southeast 30th Street. The Southeast Connector will transition from the four-lane road at Southeast 15th Street and East Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway to a two-lane road connecting to Southeast 30th Street. Future plans call for the roadway to be completed from Southeast 30th Street to the Highway 65 bypass.
