Applications available for environmental awards
The Greater Des Moines Partnership, Center on Sustainable Communities and Metro Waste Authority are looking for applications to honor local organizations and leaders for sustainability efforts for the Environmental Impact Awards.
Applications will be accepted until March 25, and the winners will be announced April 18. The awards will be given to individuals, large and small businesses, community organizations and new construction and remodels. Winners will be recognized at a luncheon on May 18 at the Des Moines Botanical and Environmental Center.
