The 2024 application for Bank of America’s Student Leaders paid internship program is open through Jan. 17. The national program places 300 selected students in an eight-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization, and they will attend a leadership summit in Washington, D.C., to study how government, business and the nonprofit sectors intersect to address social issues. Two student leaders last year did their internships with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa. “This program is really amazing. You get to learn from top-performing leaders who have created their own nonprofit, business or youth organizations and conducted research on important issues,” said Saw Gee Dow Sow, a 2023 student leader and North High School student.
