Applications for Greater Des Moines Youth Leadership Initiative Class of 2015-2016 will be accepted until noon April 24. The program provides next year’s sophomore or junior students from both public and private high schools in Central Iowa experiential mentoring and leadership opportunities that enhance self-esteem and encourage involvement in all levels of community life. Tuition is free and sponsored by the Greater Des Moines Partnership. Students meet twice monthly between August and May to explore topics on leadership while learning about the region.
