Two Iowa architecture firms were recently recognized by the American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter through the group’s Iowa Impact Award. The award celebrates architects, designers and other collaborators of an architectural project specifically designed to directly benefit social, humanitarian, community or environmental causes. Neumann Monson Architects received the Merit Award for its Iowa City public works project, and BNIM Architects for its design of the Tom and Ruth Harkin Center at Drake University. The awards were presented at the  American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter’s spring conference.
