The Des Moines Art Center plans a free 10th anniversary celebration for the John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at the park. Faculty Lounge will play music and the event also will feature food trucks, a kid zone, guided tours and light refreshments. More than 100 unique artworks created in response to the sculptures in the park have been submitted by the public and will be on display.
