Artists invitations sent for festival
The Des Moines Arts Festival has announced its list of invited professional and emerging artists for the 2013 festival.
A total of 185 invitations have been extended to professionals across the nation, out of a pool of 1,104 applicants. Another 20 have been sent invitations as part of the Emerging Iowa Artist Program presented by Principal Financial Group Inc.
The festival will take place on June 28 to 30 at Western Gateway Park.
