Gov. Kim Reynolds has issued a disaster proclamation for two additional counties, bringing the total number of qualifying counties to 25 in response to the derecho event that cut a large swath of damage through Iowa on Monday. The proclamation now allows state resources to be used to help recover from the effects of the severe weather in Audubon and Madison counties. The proclamation also activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program for qualifying residents, along with the Disaster Case Management Program.
