Bank of America announced that its Bank of America Student Leaders program is accepting applications from Central Iowa high school students for the 2021 program through Jan. 29. The program provides workforce skills-building and civic engagement to current high school juniors and seniors through an eight-week paid internship at a local nonprofit organization. Additionally, selected students participate with their peers across the country in a summer weeklong Student Leaders Summit, which may be virtual. Last year, Bank of America Student Leaders in Des Moines interned with the Healthiest State Initiative. Through leading change-making conversations and related projects, these students played a vital role in the organization’s mission of engaging and inspiring Iowans to improve their health and happiness.
