Bankers Trust announces commercial lending leadership changes

Bankers Trust has announced leadership updates within the bank’s Commercial Lending division. Mike Wilson (upper photo), chief lending officer, will retire at the end of the month, after five years with the bank and more than 30 years in the banking industry. Todd Wishman (lower photo), who has been with Bankers Trust nearly 20 years, will succeed him. Bankers Trust President and CEO Don Coffin said, “I want to publicly thank Mike for his many meaningful contributions around credit approvals, commercial leasing, building great talent, and supporting our team members and customers throughout the pandemic and especially the Paycheck Protection Program.” Wishman, currently Bankers Trust’s eastern Iowa market president, has more than 25 years of commercial lending experience. He joined Bankers Trust’s Commercial Lending division in 2003 and has been senior vice president, eastern Iowa market president since 2018. Before that, he was on the Des Moines commercial lending team for many years. In addition to his new position as chief lending officer, Wishman will join the bank’s executive committee, effective Feb. 28. Jack Gonder, currently vice president, commercial relationship manager, has been promoted to eastern Iowa market president, and will join the bank’s management committee, also effective Feb. 28. He joined Bankers Trust in 2018 and has 25 years of experience in middle-market financial services, including commercial banking and mergers and acquisitions advisory.
