Banks named ‘Best of Iowa’

Twelve Iowa banks received Best of Iowa awards from the Iowa Bankers Association. The awards recognize excellence in community relations and bank marketing, including efforts to promote branding, deposits, loans, customer service and staff programs, according to a release. New this year, the awards also recognize excellence in social media marketing. Click here for the recipients.

First National Bank of Muscatine received the Best of Show Award, for its highest scoring entry among all entries received. Triumph Community Bank in Bettendorf received the Newcomer Award, for its highest-scoring entry among all of the first-time entrants in the awards program.

The following banks also received either a Gold (first-place) or Silver (second-place) award in the following categories:

Loan Campaigns:

– Hardin County Savings Bank, Eldora (Gold Award)

– Southeast National Bank, Quad Cities (Silver Award)

 

Deposit Campaigns:

– MidWestOne Bank, Iowa City (Gold Award)

– Bank Iowa, West Des Moines (Silver Award)

Service Campaigns:

– First Citizens National Bank, Mason City (Gold Award)

– First Security Bank & Trust, Charles City (Silver Award)

* Internal Marketing Campaigns:

– Clear Lake Bank & Trust (Gold Award)

– Wells Fargo Bank, NA., Des Moines (Silver Award)

 

Social Media Campaigns:

– Shelby County State Bank, Harlan (Gold Award)

– Bank Iowa, West Des Moines (Silver Award)

 

Community Relations Campaigns:

– TS Bank, Treynor (Gold Award)

– First National Bank, Creston (Silver Award)

Both the gold and silver award winners of the Community Relations category will also receive a $1,000 donation each from the IBA on their behalf to a charity of their choice.
