Bâton Global names co-founder Matthew Mitchell as CEO

188 wordsAll Latest News, HR and Leadership, Key Leadership ChangesBâton Global, a Des Moines-based strategy and consulting firm, announced Tuesday that Matthew Mitchell, a founding partner of the company, will serve as CEO.
Founded in 2014, Bâton Global has grown to serve Fortune 500 insurance and financial services companies, government agencies and nonprofit organizations in Iowa and globally. The firm offers services in strategy, leadership, innovation and research.
The firm has contributed to several Central Iowa projects, including the Capital Crossroads Roadmap, the DSM Forward Playbooks and Envision Iowa, an initiative created by Business Record parent company Business Publications Corp.
“As one of our founding partners, Matthew has led the company through periods of significant growth and innovation,” Bâton’s managing director and partner Wade Britt said in a prepared statement. “Going forward, his technical background and global experience will help clients prepare for the impact of AI on their workforce and operating model.”
Mitchell holds degrees in physics and math as well as an MBA from Rollins College. He earned his doctorate in international business from the University of South Carolina. Mitchell also serves as a faculty member at Drake University’s Zimpleman College of Business, teaching strategy and international business.
