Bergman Academy to break ground for expansion
Bergman Academy announced it will break ground on June 3 for a new classroom wing that will be the first of a three-phase expansion project. The new classroom wing will house two state-of-the-art science labs and six traditional classrooms. The ceremony will culminate a two-year planning process for the addition to the structure, which is the former Science Center of Iowa. Following completion of the new classroom wing, Bergman Academy will add a gymnasium that will include a performance stage. The final phase will be an update of the playground equipment. The state-certified private pre-kindergarten through eighth grade school is located in Greenwood Park.
