Bondurant Mayor Curt Sullivan, the city and its consultant RDG Planning and Design received the 2021 Planning Advocate and Urban Design Award from the American Planning Association-Iowa Chapter. The awards that were in recognition of Bondurant’s City Park Master Plan were handed out at the association’s recent annual conference. Bondurant’s park plan, adopted by the City Council in July, was the culmination of a multimonth effort to gain feedback from the public and certain stakeholders about the vision for the specialty park, located on 2.2 acres at Main Street Southeast and Second Street Southeast.
