Des Moines Register: It’s the end of an over 100-year-old retail legacy in Des Moines. Boot Barn, a clothing and shoe retailer known for its western-style apparel, purchased G&L Clothing, a local retailer in Des Moines known for its work clothes and variety of sizes. G&L Clothing, which is at 1801 Ingersoll Ave., celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2017.
