The fall 2017 issue of the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden’s Bloom magazine won a silver medal for best trade magazine this month at the annual conference of GWA: The Association for Garden Communicators in Chicago, according to a release. The award is the seventh the Botanical Garden has earned from GWA in the last four years, including gold awards in 2017, 2015 and 2014. The GWA Media Awards are the only national online media awards program for the gardening communications industry. The 32-page quarterly magazine is a benefit of Botanical Garden membership. It is designed in Des Moines by Annabel Wimer and edited by Director of Marketing Kelly Reilly. President and CEO Stephanie Jutila said in a release: “The award speaks volumes to our team’s dedication to promoting the beautiful, sustainable messages that make up our brand.”
