BR BUZZ: BLK & Bold founders appear on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
Pernell Cezar and Rod Johnson, co-founders of Des Moines-based specialty beverage company BLK & Bold, were guests on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last week as the program nears its final episode. Cezar and Johnson shared with guest host Dwyane Wade the journey of starting BLK & Bold in a garage and their decision to reinvest part of the company’s profits into communities and youths across the country. At the end of the segment, Wade presented the founders with a $10,000 check from TisBest to “pay it forward.” The full interview can be viewed at this link.
