Branstad aims to improve participation in government
Gov. Terry Branstad today will sign an executive order aimed at improving dialogue between government rulemaking bodies and the groups that could be affected by those rules.
Government agencies must now create and work with stakeholder groups.
“Public participation in the formulation of administrative rules will help our state to reform burdensome regulations and prevent overregulation or red tape, encouraging efficiency, economic growth and job creation,” Branstad said.
