Broadlawns Medical Center has appointed Jonathan Brendemuehl as the new director of the Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation, effective Jan. 6. The nonprofit foundation secures funding for programs, services and capital projects that aim to enhance patient care, support innovation in health care delivery and benefit patients and families. Brendemuehl most recently served as director of communications for Des Moines Performing Arts and brings experience in strategic communication and donor engagement. He also previously held roles at Bankers Trust and Drake University. “We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan to the Broadlawns team. His proven ability to build strong relationships and inspire teams will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow the foundation, deepen our community partnerships, and elevate our impact,”  Proctor Lureman, president and CEO of Broadlawns Medical Center, said in a prepared statement.
