Broadlawns Medical Center hosted an open house and ribbon-cutting last week at the newly renovated Broadlawns Variety Pediatric Clinic, located on the lower level of the Medical Office Building at 1801 Hickman Road in Des Moines. The 1,700-square-foot pediatric clinic provides health screenings, vaccinations, acute and chronic care and treatment of injuries. The remodel was designed to enhance the efficiency of the space, with improvements to intake, patient flow, safety and the addition of three exam rooms, according to a news release. As a public health care provider, Broadlawns accepts patients with Medicaid and Medicare health coverage, as well as those with commercial insurance.
